The Kitchen is the on-the-ground organizing partner for Honeymoon Israel in the Bay Area. Together, we are providing highly subsidized trips to Israel for couples to share fun, meaningful experiences with each other and build friendships and community with peers.
On a Honeymoon Israel trip, 20 couples spend nine days seeing and experiencing Israel. You may visit sites like the Western Wall or the beaches of Tel Aviv, spend shabbat in Jerusalem and have meals with local families and meetings with high-level public officials and business leaders.
You'll visit sites important to Jewish, Christian and Muslim history, taste the best Israeli food and wine, encounter the natural beauty of the Middle East and meet Israeli peers to hear about life in Israel from their point of view. Trip itineraries balance group experiences and alone time for you and your partner—and neither involves sitting in a classroom. You’ll be out and about most of the day, and have plenty of opportunities for reflection over meals and through structured discussions about politics, religion and other important topics. Every trip includes two unique Shabbat experiences—a traditional Shabbat in Jerusalem and a modern Shabbat experience in Tel Aviv.
The total cost for a Honeymoon Israel trip (including round-trip airfare, hotels, planned activities and nearly all meals) is $1,800 per couple.
What’s The Kitchen’s agenda?
We want you to have an eye-opening experience of the real Israel, not the one of propaganda videos. We want you to have a crazy good shabbos in Jerusalem. We want you to understand why Israel matters at all and why you should care.
What's Honeymoon Israel’s agenda?
Honeymoon Israel is hoping to help couples connect to one another, to Jewish life and toIsrael. There’s no specific prescription for that and Honeymoon Israel is not affiliated with or promoting any specific institutions.
